Jennifer Hudson Offers $100,000 Reward for Missing Nephew

Two days after the shooting deaths of her mother and brother, Jennifer Hudson appealed on Sunday for the public's help in finding her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King. In a bid to even further bolster the search effort, Hudson's family is offering a $100,000 reward for information given to the Chicago police resulting in the youth's location.

"We ask that all inquiries be directed to the Chicago Police Department, Area 1 Detective Division at (312) 747-8380," said a statement from Hudson's publicist.In her initial effort to help find her nephew, Hudson appealed for help via a MySpace blog entry where the Secret Life of Bees star posted a picture of her sister's son. "Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely," the blog entry reads. "If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately."An Amber Alert remains in effect for Julian, who has not been seen since the day the bodies of his grandmother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they shared on the city's South Side, reports the Associated Press.The Amber Alert listed William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia, as a suspect in a "double homicide investigation." Citing "his active parole violation unrelated to this investigation," Chicago police have transferred to state authorities custody of Balfour, who at this time is described as a "person of interest."

“Detectives are working 24 hours on this case," a Chicago police spokesperson tells the AP. "There's a lot of forensic evidence. We have to work the evidence and try and solve this case. Syposis: Professor Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser) teaches earth sciences at the university and heads the Center of Volcanic Activity. Max Anderson, Trevor's brother, built the monitoring system and placed the units around the world 10 years earlier. For some unknown reason, Max did not return, leaving behind a wife and son, Sean (Josh Hutcherson). Sean's mother leaves the teenager at Trevor's house to get some quality time with his uncle. They look at Max's copy of Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne and find a secret code. Back at the monitoring center Trevor compares the volcanic activity numbers and finds that they are exactly the same as the ones in the book. Trevor and Sean fly to Iceland to check one of the units and to see if they can find some information about where Max went. Trevor hires a beautiful mountain guide, Hannah (Anita Briem), to take them up the volcano. During an electrical storm on the volcano, they get trapped in an abandoned mine. They search for a way out of the mine and discover a wall filled with large diamonds. Unfortunately, the floor they are standing on can't hold their weight, and they fall down a volcano tube for miles and miles until they reach the center of the earth. Once there, they encounter prehistoric glow birds, flying piranha, man-eating plants, and T-Rex dinosaurs that have been extinct for millions of years. They find that they are seeing the same things that were printed in the Jules Verne book. This gave them hope that someone was able to escape from the center of the earth and return to the surface.
